June 2007 hey folks, amazing how kids think they can remove the backyard from their hands and faces before dinner simply by crossing the threshold. there should be an automatic "kid wash" that saturates, soaps, and scrubs as they walk through the door before sitting down for supper. unlike today's brushless car wash i would like to see some serious bristles installed, and of course taking the vacuum to them would be a bonus.
speaking of squeaky clean...i have written a song for ABC's daytime soap One Life To Live that will be aired tomorrow (friday 6/15) on the 2:00 broadcast. "My Little Star" was written for a specific scene on the show where mom (Kassie DePaiva/Blair Cramer) is talking with daughter (Kristen Alderson/Starr Manning) as she makes ready for the prom. remember your prom? maybe not...tune in and see what you missed.
also, while i remember, i will be doing a songwriting circle at the towne crier cafe in pawling, new york on sunday july 1st at 8:00. come, heckle, and have a great dinner. www.townecrier.com keep it clean. kevin
November 2006 hey folks, it's the most wonderful time of the year! the new CD is in. "THE GATHERING - A Christmas Collection" is all ready to be boxed, ribboned, and sent your way. it's a cool 10 song project which includes some of my favorite songs - some traditional, and some i've come across off the beaten path - ("the rebel jesus", "o holy night", and "the gathering" to name a few). it includes 3 self-penned songs.
my kids are starting to compile their santa lists. they're using their first quarter report cards as leverage, and starting to threaten their second quarter grades if santa doesn't come through. smart kids...think it'll work?
may santa bring you one thing you want, and everything you need. peace, kevin
August 2006 hey folks, two weeks til school starts around here. it's been a real nice summer. the big news in our driveway is that my 1992 saab is out, and my 2006 jeep is in. i must have something about four letter vehicles.
you should my new mid-life ride...it's nice. i've only had the top down once thus far (2 weeks). took me a while to follow the bouncing ball manual and figure it out. by the time i was done, i drove my son to practice (all of a mile), as the storm clouds gathered. had to put the top back-up right then and there at practice.
that's ok...it's like vacation...half the fun is in the anticipation.

May 2005 hey folks,
the other day my 2 year old and 4 year old were singing "take me out to the ballgame" at the kitchen table. my 8 year old asks, "how do they know that song"? i answer, "i don't know, maybe that's one of the songs we're born knowing."
written by two guys on a subway in nyc, and get this, neither had ever been to a major league game! sounds like they were both born knowing it too.
my little league team is 1-4. my softball team is 3-4. my baseball team is 1-2. but, i'm singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park next week so how bad could it be?
my "new and improved" website is almost done (thanks to terri platz). i'll be in the studio with michael terry the second week of june to start doing vocals for CD #3 (tracks are done). working title is "BUDDY UP!"
peace, kevin
